Understanding Anointing - Part 3

Having discussed about anointing and its manifestation, it is imperative to know that the world is in dire of need anointed men and women, not only as pastors and prophets but as market place stewards- I mean even in the secular arena. Romans 8:19-22 says “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God …” Yes, the whole world is waiting expectantly for God’s anointed people to make a difference in many spheres of life.

You will agree with me that Romans chapter 8 verse 19-20 is the true picture of our society today. The truth is that our society is under the bondage of bad leadership, corruption, perversion, insecurity, etc. Dishonest business people take advantage of the masses simply because there is dearth of anointed men and women in business. These are numerous issues of life that cannot be solved by human efforts. Hence, there is need for the supernatural intervention of the Almighty God through the power of anointing. God is never short of anointing but He is looking for men and women who have pure hearts and holy hands. He is searching for vessels through which He will manifest his glorious power, reveal secret of wealth creation and place in the high position of leadership in businesses, academic and politics. These are people who are not driven by mere ambition but propelled by mission. He needs people who can serve as faithful ministers in the temple and righteous magistrates in the town (Lk. 12:11)- the streetwise apostles. But it is not enough to be available, you must be usable and this can only happen when God anoints you for separation from mere men. That is why our mandate in Cedar Generation is ‘To build change agents who receive anointing in the church and make impact in the world as streetwise apostles’.

It takes more than desire for this mandate to be fulfilled in your life. Do you want to be a custodian of the power and glory of God and be a blessing to your generation? It takes discipline of your body and soul to take your portion in the spirit and become a change agent in any field. The discipline and sacrifice to pursue ‘one thing’ in your life and destiny like David who said in Psalms 27:4 “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple”. From the foregoing, it is needless to say that the secret to anointing is to be a pursuer and lover of God. (To be contd.) SHALOM.
