“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31). ‘Waiting’ is a word many people do not want to hear let alone endure. For instance, many Nigerians don’t follow protocols or due process as a result of impatience. Waiting on the queue, waiting for traffic lights etc., look simple but seems difficult for the majority.
In the matter of life and destiny, many marriageable people would rather expunge the word ‘waiting’ from their dictionaries. Most single sisters have repeatedly heard about waiting but are wondering when it would stop applying to their marriage plans. Yet, waiting is a process which is non-negotiable in any worthy endeavour in human life. I mean, there is need to patiently wait for God’s time; which is always the best! Friend, I am very confident to inform you that God is never too late; He is always right on time. Relax and rest on Him for the fulfilment of your heart desires; He is too faithful to fail. (Psalms 37:7). It is quite obvious that the time of waiting is not usually pleasant, but you have to endure it. Thus, anyone that will wait on God must eschew doubt and make faith his/her best companion. God’s promises are ye and amen! Psalms 84:11b says “…No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” What are you trusting God for? Wait on Him, your seeming delay is not denial! Trust His words that He will not withhold any good thing from you. As you walk uprightly before Him, you can be sure that your time is just around the corner. Continue to abide in Christ and do not consider negative alternatives. Apostle Paul said in Colossians 1:27b that “… Christ in me, the hope of glory.” Hope and wait for that which God has promised you in His word. While waiting, be quiet and calm before Him, do not shift your focus or engage in any blame game. Furthermore, while waiting on God, faith is very germane as you seek His face in prayers, fret not (Proverbs 24:19). The devil employs fear, worry and anxiety as weapons to weary your heart and make you lose sight of God’s ability. Don’t be trapped by the antics and tactics of the enemy, wait for what He will do in your life.
Beloved, remember that Abraham waited for good 25 years for the promised child, Isaac, to come. Zechariah, the Priest, waited for the arrival of John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus Christ. Learn to wait because your miracle awaits you! God bless you richly. SHALOM
