No Impossibility II

Last week, it was noted that we sometimes face certain situations which might seem impossible to overcome. It was however, affirmed that no problem is beyond God’s power to solve. Having faith in God and praying to Him are two solutions to making the impossible become possible. Today, we shall be concluding the topic by highlighting two other requirements for surmounting the ‘mountains’.

The third thing is to have absolute trust in God. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us: *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."* Trusting God means surrendering our plans, pursuits, purpose, and placing them in His hands. Submitting to God is captured in another scriptural version as ‘acknowledging’ Him as the One who can do it. The above scripture explains the need for a total reliance and dependence on God alone. Trust is a matter of the heart, not of brain! A person who is too calculative cannot trust God completely because, s/he will rely on his/her intellectual capacity. Abraham did not subject sacrificing his only son, Isaac, to debate, when God demanded him to do so. Trust is like a twin sister of faith! You cannot claim to have faith in God if you cannot trust Him. As you walk with God by faith, you need to develop your relationship with Him to the point of trusting Him for who He is. When He says *I AM THE LORD …*, He is committing His personality to your cause. Do you really trust Him? Finally, we need to wait on God as we trust Him for intervention. Isaiah 40:31 offers a beautiful promise: *"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint."* Hoping in the Lord also means waiting on Him. Waiting on God is not passive; it is an active, expectant, and hopeful waiting; knowing that God is at work even when we cannot see it. The next time you face an impossible situation, remember that nothing is impossible for God. The same God who parted the Red Sea, brought life to Sarah's barren womb to conceive, and raised Jesus from the dead is the same God who is with you. He is still in the business of doing the impossible! He delights in showing His power through our weakness, His wisdom through our confusion, and His love through our fears. So, hold on to hope, stand firm in faith, and wait patiently as God turns your seeming impossibility into a testimony of His greatness.

Beloved, what challenges are you passing through today? I am confident to tell you that nothing defies solution before the Almighty God. He will attend to your case and fix it in Jesus’ name *(Concluded)*.
