It is an established fact that God cannot forget His promises made to and covenants made with His children. However, timing is a very important factor in the process of divine remembrance. It must be noted that God’s timing is completely different from the timing of man. Therefore, patience is key to waiting for God’s time of remembrance. When God opens His book of remembrance for someone, He wants to do the spectacular in such a life.
Prophet Jeremiah, in his prayer, called God to remembrance when he said “O Lord, You know; remember me and visit me, and take vengeance for me on my persecutors. In Your enduring patience, do not take me away. Know that for Your sake I have suffered rebuke” (Jeremiah 15:15). When God remembers, He visits to favour and answer prayers of blessing, provision, deliverance, salvation, etc. In Genesis 18, the Lord remembered Abraham and Sarah, and visited them with the prophecy of the birth of the promised child. Despite their ages and the unbelief of Sarah, the proclamation came to pass at the appointed time. Rachael, being envied by her own sister, prayed to Jacob, her husband, to give her children or else she would die. God did not allow Rachael to commit suicide as He remembered her and blessed her with fruits of the womb. “Then God remembered Rachael and God listened to her and opened her womb” (Genesis 30:22). Hannah had been going to Shiloh to pray until the year God remembered her and turned her mockery to merriment (1Samuel chapter 1). I declare under grace today, that your time of divine remembrance has come in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. When God remembers, He takes vengeance for you on your persecutors and enemies. The good deeds of Mordecai was not reckoned with until God remembered him and the Jewish nation, who were at the verge of annihilation by Haman’s plot. The Bible says “That night the king could not sleep. So one was commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king” (Esther 6:1). Your destiny helper will lose his or her sleep until he or she locates you in Jesus name! Similarly, Hezekiah presented his credentials before God when he was told to prepare for his funeral and God remembered him. He eventually had fifteen years elongation of his life on earth.
Friend, what are you believing God to do for you? Keep trusting Him, He will surely remember you! When He remembers you, He turns the situation around for you. God bless you. SHALOM
