Run With the Vision

“Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it” (Habakkuk 2:2). There is nothing that can keep a man in focus than the vision of his life. A man of no vision is a man of no direction. A man can clearly set his goals from the vision he has. Vision gives meaning to our daily endeavour such that achievements and growth are easily measured. To achieve an undeniable success at the end of the year, vision must have been well received and articulated at the beginning of the year. Do you have any tangible vision to run with this year?

Contextually, vision is not a product of sleep but having knowledge, understanding and revelation of purpose. The Bible says of the sons of Issachar that they had understanding of the times (1Chron. 12:32). Anyone that will be relevant and make impact in life must understand why he is anywhere and what he wants to do. Apostle Paul is a good example of somebody who ran with the vision placed in his hands. Little wonder he advised the church at Corinth to run in such a way that they may obtain the prize. He further remarked that he was neither running with uncertainty nor fighting as one who beats the air (1Cor. 9: 24-26). This suggests he had a good knowledge and mastery of the race by the understanding at his disposal. Knowledge economy is trending in the contemporary world! What do you have that you are bringing to the table? Joseph ran with the vision he had at his teen years, and he defied all odds to become the Prime Minister in Egypt? Friend, you are neither too young nor old to have a vision, a purpose and understanding of what you should do. Discipline was a common denominator about the lives of Paul and Joseph while running with their vision. Apostle Paul said he disciplined his body and brought it into subjection. Similarly, Joseph disciplined his body in the face of sexual pressure mounted on him by Mrs. Potiphar. He asked rhetorically, “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9).

You cannot afford to continue the year without having an insight into what God has for you and what He wants you to do. The race of life is not run majorly with legs but with clear vision. This is the right time for your heaven to be opened for you to receive insight. May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened in Jesus’ name. God bless you. PEACE
