Small Beginnings

Many of us dream of achieving great things, yet we often overlook the value of small beginnings. We tend to focus on the grand outcomes rather than the humble start from which every great accomplishment springs. Remember that every mighty tree began as a tiny seed. Prophet Zechariah admonishes us: *"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin"* (Zech. 4:10).

Small beginnings are not insignificant in God’s eyes. David started as a humble shepherd boy before he became a celebrated king. Elisha went through the ordeal of being an errand boy before having the double portion of Elijah’s anointing. These biblical examples show that God often uses the small, sometimes overlooked moments to prepare us for much larger responsibilities. Stop trying to climb the tree from the top! When we remain faithful in the seemingly small tasks, God multiplies our efforts and entrusts us with greater challenges and responsibilities (Lk. 16:10). How faithful, grateful and committed are you, with the little under your radar for now? Small beginnings also teach us patience and trust in God’s timing. We usually want immediate results and may feel discouraged if progress seems slow. In our daily lives, we may feel that our contributions are too minor to make a difference. Whether you are a student, a parent, a worker, or a community leader, know that God sees every act of kindness, every small sacrifice, and every moment of faithful service. 1 Corinthians 3:6 says, *"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow”.* It is indeed God who brings growth and increase from our small beginnings. Furthermore, embracing small beginnings means celebrating every milestone, no matter how modest it seems. Every prayer answered, every step forward in personal growth, and every kind word shared can become a testimony of God's goodness. Over time, these small acts accumulate into a powerful testimony that inspires others. When you persist in the little things, you pave the way for God to do extraordinary work in and through your life. So, no matter how small your efforts seem today, be encouraged. Trust in God, be committed and remain faithful to the process. As you continue to nurture your journey of faith, remember that small beginnings lead to great testimonies. Let every humble step be a reminder that God is working behind the scenes, turning your modest efforts into a legacy of His glory.

Keep pushing forward, be grateful for little mercies, remain steadfast in your commitment, and watch as God multiplies your faithfulness into something truly remarkable. The power of small beginnings is a testament to His grace and a promise that every little step counts in His grand design. *PEACE*
