Help in Turbulence Time

Turbulence simply means a state of conflict or confusion. It is a word often used to describe any situation characterized by unrest and disorder. An individual, a family, a community or an organization can also pass through turbulent times.

The fact is that turbulent times are undesirable and unpalatable, and the experience could be frustrating. The nature of help needed by man is determined by the type of turbulence being experienced. Turbulence may be physical, spiritual, financial, medical, emotional, psychological etc., and each requires help. Regardless of the kind of turbulence you may be passing through, you can rely on God to be there for you. Elijah needed help when he was experiencing psychological turbulence as a result of Jezebel’s threat. David was confronted with turbulence of depression and needed help, after the enemies plundered him and carted away his goods and people. Jesus Christ needed the emotional support of His heavenly Father while facing turbulence of pains and imminent crucifixion. The impotent man at the Pool of Bethesda was looking for human help for good thirty-eight years, until Jesus Christ appeared on the scene. He almost missed his healing miracle, save for God’s mercy. Similarly, the lame man at the Beautiful Gate was looking at John and Peter for financial help, but he got healing instead. Beloved, what kind of help do you need? Physical turbulence can occur on the land, on the water, in the air etc. I had a few personal experiences of air turbulence, and there was a particular one that really got me disturbed. At the end of it all, God’s mercy provided help, the airplane eventually regained its stability, and we landed safely at Amsterdam. I have had divers turbulence in life; but God’s help made me to sail through them all, with abounding testimonies. Listen to the testimony of a man who walked with God to the point of recognizing Him as his source of protection and the One who always helps. *“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”* (Psalms 46:1). God can never be late to help you; He is always present and right there to provide timely help for you.

Friend, you must have the understanding that we are really in the turbulent times, and we need God more than ever before. If you are yet to know God; the first help you need is to come to Jesus Christ. Happy Annual Convention and 11th Anniversary to the household of Cedar, home and abroad!
