The Triangular Mission

Behind every mission, either good or bad, is clarity and specificity of its content and intent. Mission can take the form of an assignment or a task. It must be noted that every man is on a divine mission here on earth. Have you discovered yours? Do you know why you are here?

Right from the fall of Lucifer, the battle line with humanity had already been drawn. The devil had developed an offensive triangular mission plan, which he still tactically adopts to prey on his victims. However, the good news is that God was not oblivious of his heinous plan. Little wonder, He sent Jesus Christ on a counter-mission; as captured in 1Jn. 3:8 *“… For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil”*. Jesus Christ came with the singular mission- to destroy the works of the devil, which is sin and its appearances. The devil enslaves and keeps his victims in perpetual bondage of darkness. Jesus Christ, the light of the world, came to liberate people from the yoke and burden of darkness, and connect them directly with God. He accomplished this mission on the Cross of Calvary, over two thousand years ago. The following scripture unveils the devil’s mission, but also establishes the mission of Jesus Christ as opposed to that of the devil- *“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”* (Jn. 10:10). The devil’s triangular mission is identified as to steal, to kill and to destroy. How does he operate? He steals the peace, joy, happiness, health, etc., of man, and attacks him with barrage of diseases and life-threatening sicknesses. The devil knows that an unsettled mind or an unhealthy person will not be stable or coordinated. Therefore, s/he will not be focused in life, due to his or her psychological and physical state. In addition, he kills the dream, purpose, vision, etc., of his preys. If the first mission fails, the devil kills people’s aspirations; knowing fully well that a man of vision is not easily distracted. Lastly, he destroys people’s homes or marriages, businesses, ministries, etc. If the devil does not succeed in executing the first and second mission, he destroys people. Total annihilation is the last resort of the devil, having failed in the previous two attempts. Today, I invoke the covenant of the blood of Jesus Christ to destroy every mission of the devil in your life. You will not fall victim of his devices in Jesus’ mighty name.

Beloved, to escape the devil’s triangular mission, you need to be identified with God, and stay with Him always. Don’t joke with the devil, surrender to Jesus. God bless you richly. *SHALOM*
