He is with You

We often think that God is only present in church or during our moments of intense prayer, but the truth is far greater – God is with us in our everyday life. When we are at our workplaces, in bustling marketplaces, on crowded buses, or simply at home; His presence is with us through every moment of our lives. *"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him"* (Col. 3:17). This means that even our daily routines can become acts of worship when we invite Jesus into them.

Jesus Himself demonstrated this when He met people right where they were. He called Peter while he was busy fishing, as recorded in Luke 5:1-11, turning a normal day on the lake into years of great mission and impact. He spoke with the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:7-26); transforming a routine water-fetching moment into a life-changing encounter. Even when dining with tax collectors and sinners in their homes, Jesus showed that His love transcends social boundaries. These examples reveal that God's presence is not confined to sacred spaces, He is there in the midst of our everyday activities. Truly, everyday life is filled with unique challenges – traffic congestion, fuel scarcity, work stress, emotional issues and economic hardships. Yet, in the midst of these struggles, Jesus cares about our daily concerns.*" Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you"*(1Pet. 5:7). This verse reminds us that no matter how overwhelming our circumstances might seem, we can always turn to Jesus. In every personal struggle at home or moment of frustration at work, we can speak to Him and trust in His comforting presence. A key to keeping Jesus at the center of our lives is gratitude. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 urges us- *"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."* By making gratitude a habit, even for the smallest blessings, we invite Jesus into every facet of our daily routines. Practical steps include praying while commuting, listening to worship songs during chores, and reading at least a bible verse each day. These simple actions transform ordinary moments into opportunities for divine connection. Ultimately, Jesus is not only present in the grand spiritual moments of our lives, but in every moment. He invites us to see our routine tasks and our triumphs as part of His master plan.

When we choose to recognize His presence in our everyday, we live out the truth that God is present anywhere we are. Let us then go about our daily lives with this assurance that He is with us everywhere. His presence will always be your essence in Jesus name. *SHALOM*
