Welcome to the second day of the seventh month in the second half of the year 2023. Indeed, God has been our wall of defence against every attack of the enemy. He will continue to be our shield throughout the remaining part of the year and beyond in Jesus name. Just trust in Him the more!
To become a conqueror, one must conquer; and to conquer, there must be a conquest. No individual becomes a champion in life without fighting any battle. Nations of the world go to battle against one another for different reasons. Notably among the reasons for fighting is claim of territories and boundaries. In 1Samuel 30:1-20, the Amalekites invaded Judah, the city of David, and took captive the inhabitants and carted away their properties. King David, who was not around during the invasion, became sorrowful but eventually encouraged himself in the Lord.
A pertinent action taken by David was to enquire from the Lord on the recovery process. He asked two questions from God who answered in affirmation, and even assured him of total recovery. *“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And He answered him; pursue, for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all”* (1Sam. 30:8). It is very imperative to ask God before venturing into any significant matter. Many people have failed woefully as a result of not consulting God before starting a course or business. In any life endeavor, you need divine insight that will give you direction and guidance. Don’t just jump into the battle field without hearing God speak to you. Beloved, enquiry brings recovery! After David received the divine clearance, he pursued and overtook his adversaries, and recovered all from them. When you fight the battles of life, with God on your side, you can never be defeated. Territories that need to be conquered include: sickness, debt, failure, evil covenant, etc. Whatever territory you have lost, you will conquer your enemy and recover all during the second half of this year in the name of Jesus Christ. By living a life of holiness, with prayers and fasting, you become an overcomer and recover all your lost territories.
Friend, if you are yet a sinner, the first territory you need to conquer is sin. It is a major hindrance to God fighting your battle for you. I implore you to yield your heart to Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour. God bless you (*To be contd.*) Happy New Month! *SHALOM*
