Hope for Tomorrow

Hope, is in the context of which it is being used here, refers to a person, a thing or a situation that will help you get what you want. Hope may also be considered as expectation. It is common to hear statement of desperation like ‘you are my last hope, or you are my only hope’. It is a great error to consider a man; a mere mortal being, as somebody’s hope, let alone the last hope.

God, the creator of heaven and earth, is the hope of man. Apostle Paul remarked in Romans 15:13- *“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace…”*. Similarly, the book of Joel 3:16b says, *“… but the Lord will be the hope of His people, …”* God is not just our hope for today, but also our hope for tomorrow. In other words, He is our hope for the present and for the future. However, let me ask you this pertinent question: are you really a child of God? If you are a real child of God, then you are a sure candidate of His hope. In the contemporary times, a lot of people are confused, discouraged and lack direction of their future. Many people have been so battered by the present global economic and political crisis, and have lost hope in the governmental system of their countries. In fact, many people have committed suicide because of disappointment and depression. I declare to you today, that your expectation shall not be cut off in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Where do you put your hope or expectation? *“They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed”* (Ps. 34:5). The scripture says, *“And hope maketh not ashamed; …”* (Rom. 5:5). If you do not want to be put to shame, turn to God alone as the only source of hope. Friend, are you at crossroads or juncture of confusion about your life? Why don’t you turn to God, the giver of hope? Do not look for hope from abroad, look unto God above! He will intervene in your case, restore your joy and renew your hope! The light of God will shine upon your situation to give you direction and solution. Your future will become bright and colourful as you look unto Him alone. Apostle Paul admonished the church at Colosse, *“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”* (Col. 1:27).

Regardless of your past, family background or present challenges; your hope for tomorrow is guaranteed in Christ. Abide in Christ and He will abide with you, and brighten your life with glorious hope. Welcome to the month of November, full of divine hope and strength for you and your family. I declare that it shall be a November to remember for good in Jesus name. God bless you. Happy New Month! *SHALOM*
