Spiritually, mountains connote hindrance, obstacle and barrier to one’s progress, success or achievement in life. The civil engineers sometimes experience difficulties, navigating through mountainous areas during construction projects. The best of the earth shakers and movers cannot even remove mountains. Also, blasting mountains is no doubt a herculean task, with its attendant risk, huge financial implication and environmental pollution. Therefore, the mostly preferred option is to navigate your way round it.
God, the maker of mountains, hills, and valleys has promised to make you like bulldozers that will pull down the mountains and hills. *“Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff”* (Isa. 41:15). In Agricultural term, threshing refers to the operation of separating the grains from the plants, after harvest. This is achieved with the aid of threshing instruments, called threshers. Threshing also means to move violently and thrash. In the latter context, the key words are ‘violence and thrash’. This implies that there must be a violent shaking, leading to threshing and thrashing of mountains. The force required to do this does not come from you, but from the Lord God, Jehovah El-Shaddai! I decree that the power of God will bring down to nothing, every seemingly huge and gigantic mountain in your life in the mighty name of Jesus.
In the above scripture, God said He will make you a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth. Newness comes with power, strength, freshness, vigour and vitality! Therefore, it means you will be newly empowered to pull down and crush every mountain standing on your path. It is true that there are several mountains in the journey of this year, but you will thresh them down in the name of Jesus Christ. Beloved, all you need to be able to do the unfathomable and unimaginable is FAITH. This year, by faith, you can move the mountains and the hills on your ways. Jesus told His disciples *“… If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you”* (Matt. 17:20). There is no mountain that you will not be able to surmount this year as you walk with God by faith. Do not allow any situations or circumstances to erode your faith in God!
