His Presence - Your Essence

Suffice it to say that God’s assurance of His presence with the believers is the basis of divine victory. There are three dimensions of manifestation of God’s presence with His children. He manifests His presence as God for us (Jehovah Elshaddai), God with us (Jesus Christ), and God in us (Holy Spirit). The present day Christians enjoy His presence as God in us, through the Holy Spirit.

Apostle Paul understood the essence of having God’s presence with him. Little wonder, he asked a rhetorical question *“… If God be for us, who can be against us?”' (Romans 8:31). No mountain will be able to stand on your way, when God’s presence is your portion. One with God is far more than millions or billions without God! He is called Jehovah, the Man of war. In the book of 2Kings chapter 6, the king of Syria wanted to go to war against the king of Israel, and found out that Elisha was the only one supporting the king of Israel. Thus, he wanted to capture Elisha who was revealing his secret plots to the king of Israel. He sent horses, chariots and great army to besiege Prophet Elisha in Dothan. Elisha’s servant became terribly afraid of the intimidating military presence, and he asked his master *“… Alas, my master! What shall we do?”* The Prophet replied him *“Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them”* (2Kings 6:15-16). Elisha eventually prayed a simple prayer that the Lord should open the eyes of his young servant. What the servant saw was beyond his imagination! He beheld the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. When you have God’s presence with you, you are protected against attacks and assaults of the enemies. Do you desire and covet His presence? Prophet Moses was a man of God who never joked with the presence of God. At a point in his walk with God, he was giving God the precondition for continuing on the journey to the Promised Land *“If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here”* (Exodus 33:15). The battles of life cannot be won, without the presence of God. Success cannot be attained in any sphere of life, without the presence of God. You need to flow into God’s presence in the place of sacrificial praise, intimate worship, prevailing prayer, word meditation, etc.

Beloved, you must first become a child of God before you can attract His presence. Accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ today and become a residence of God’s presence. God bless you richly!
