Christ in Me

There is a clear distinction between the eternal destination of a rebirthed person and an unbeliever. Every regenerated soul has the hope of making it to heaven, while sinners are bound to end in hell. The truth is that Christ in the lives of believers makes a whole lot of difference. Is He in your life?

The mystery behind the salvation and redemption of a soul is unfathomable. However, behind the mystery lies the riches and hope of God’s glory which Christians must strongly covet. Apostle Paul said: *“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”* (Colossians 1:27). God is willing to reveal to the world, the riches of His glory through His children. However, in order to be a recipient, you must have the right standing with God. What is your status before God? As children of God, in whom Christ dwells, we have unlimited access to God’s presence. Wherever God’s glory is present, His manifestation abounds! In addition, Jesus Christ in the lives of believers gives them the assurance of His glorious second coming. The hope of the believers is not limited to this earth, but extends to eternity. *“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable”* (1Corinthians 15:19). Anyone in whom Christ dwells does not live a life of his own, but a life sold out to God. This is a consecrated, committed, dedicated, and sacrificial life of absolute devotion to God. He lives a crucified life, as someone who has been nailed together with Christ. That was why Paul remarked in Galatians 2:20- *“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me …”* The characteristics of a crucified life include: submission, humility, obedience, commitment, loyalty, etc., to God and the course of His Kingdom. Just like the dead don’t struggle; a crucified life, in whom Christ dwells, yields easily to the will of God. If you still find it difficult to submit to the word of God, you need Christ to be formed in you. *“My little children, for whom I labour in birth again until Christ is formed in you”* (Galatians 4:19). The life in which Christ dwells will be far from arrogance because the mind of Christ will be in him. Are you not proud? How humble are you?

Friend, you are a reflection and product of who rules over your life! Is Jesus Christ the Lord of your heart? If no, you need to surrender your life to Him today! With Christ in your life, you are always more than conqueror. God bless you and deliver you from every form of evil. *SHALOM*
