Globally, periodic climatic change is bound to occur, but it is quite certain that it will also pass away after a while. Countries of the world naturally experience different seasons at different times. Thus, it is a reality that nobody can contest; it only requires the tenacity to cope with, while it lasts.
Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonian church thus: “But of the times and seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write to you” (1Thess. 5:1). Times and seasons will come to pass; but as it is often quoted, tough times never last but tough people do.
Whatever you are passing through now is a season that will soon pass away! Is it about your career, finance, health, marriage, family, etc.? Today, I give you a word of assurance that it shall pass away. Job experienced the most turbulent season of life anyone on this planet could ever had. With everything he had and virtually everyone around him gone, he still held on to God. Zophar, the Naamathite, encouraged Job with the following words: *“Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away”* (Job 11:16). Friend, I am encouraging you today that no condition or season in life is permanent. All you need do is to let your anchor of faith in God hold, as He holds your hand in this prevailing season. Why do you need to repose your confidence and trust in the Lord? He is the creator of times and seasons, and He is the only one who can change them. *“And He changeth the times and seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings...”* (Dan. 2:21). God will change every unpalatable times and seasons you may be experiencing in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Hear God’s word concerning His intervention while the Israelites were passing through the season of oppression: *“Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto Myself”* (Exo. 19:4). As you weather the storms of this season, don’t listen to the suggestions of the devil. It is equally important that you watch closely the association and company of friends you keep. Everything will pass away, the only thing that will not pass away is the word of God! *“Heaven and earth shall pass away; but My words shall not pass away”* (Matt. 24:35). God’s promises for you, in His word, shall not pass away; as you believe in Him. Patiently wait for His promises to come to pass in your life, and be more committed to Him. You will come out triumphantly!
Beloved, you can only survive adverse seasons by knowing God! Be connected and identified with your maker and He will see you through the difficulties of life. God bless you richly. *SHALOM*
