The Real Freedom

Satan has been in constant and continuous battle with the believers right from his fall. As stated in John 10:10, the devil’s ultimate mission is to steal, kill and destroy his prey. He entraps his victims with sin, sickness, inordinate ambition and so many other forms of entanglements. The enemy is holding many people hostage by the power of addiction and distraction. Unfortunately, such persons are oblivious of their subtle incarceration because they still walk around freely.

The good news is that Jesus Christ has been anointed, commissioned and sent to liberate and deliver from every satanic stronghold. He read the book of Isaiah as written in Luke 4:18; “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” This divine mandate in the ministry of Jesus captures vividly the picture of different categories of challenges people are facing today. Are you brokenhearted, held captive or oppressed? The great healer and mighty deliverer is proclaiming liberty upon your situation! By faith, just release your burdens, inadequacies, fear and worry unto Him. There was a time David was greatly distressed as a result of being plundered by the Amalekites. In fact, the Israelites were grieved to the point of thinking about stoning him. David did not start crying but rather he enquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all” (1 Samuel 30:8). Eventually, David pursued and recovered all that the enemies carted away, including his two wives (1 Samuel 30:18). When this same David felt oppressed by the threats of Goliath of Gath; he stepped out in faith, killed the giant and finally ended his era of reign as the champion. Friend, call on Jesus Christ today for your emancipation!

The devil does not need to run after a sinner because he is already within the ambient of his reach. If you are yet to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, this is another opportunity to do so. He said in John 8:36; “Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Accept Him into your life and experience the real freedom. God bless you. Happy New Month!
