The Unlimited God II

Last week, it was established that God is unlimited and can do the impossible/unimaginable and reverse the irreversible. He demonstrates His unlimitedness by breaking natural laws, reversing principles and suspending protocols. Two of the instances where God’s unlimited power was brought to bear, in the Bible times, were mentioned. Today, we shall be concluding this brief exposition as we discuss more manifestations of the unlimited God.

Multiple events happened in 2Kings chapter 4, showing God’s power that reverses the irreversible. Interestingly, Prophet Elisha was the man used by God to demonstrate His unlimited power in the scripture under reference. The case of the widow, in verses 1-7, seemed hopeless until she received a divine turn around. In fact, the creditor was already coming to take her two sons away as slaves. She was so poor that she had nothing in the house except a jar of oil. In obedience to the instruction of the servant of God, she had more than enough to settle her debt and take care of herself and two sons. “Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, ‘Bring me another vessel’ And she said to her, ‘There is not another vessel.’ So the oil ceased” (verse 6). In verse 8 to 37, the Shunammite woman was childless and making the matter worse, her husband was old. At the appointed time, according to the word of the Lord; she who was once barren became a mother of a male child. Unfortunately, the enemy cut short her joy by killing her son with a mysterious headache. The woman was really devastated but eventually, God reversed the situation and her son was brought back to life. What could be more miraculous than the dead being raised to life? Friend, God’s power is still very much available to reverse every form of irreversible situation or condition in your life. Similarly, in the same book of 2Kings chapter 4, God reversed death (poison) in the pot to life. “So he said, ‘Then bring some flour, and he put it into the pot, and said, serve it to the people, that they may eat.’ And there was nothing harmful in the pot” (verse 41). In the latter part of the scripture, God turned shortage of food to abundant supply with enough left over. What God cannot do does not exist!

Beloved, if you want God to reverse any adverse condition in your life; you need to do the following. Be truly identified with Jesus Christ, be holy, be tenacious in faith and be desperate in prayer. You will soon experience God’s unlimited power in your life. (concluded) SHALOM
