Go to the Field - Part 2

Last week, we started the above topic which can be described as the heartbeat of God. It was mentioned that the harvest is truly ripe and only waiting for reapers of souls to launch out. A good approach to soul-winning, otherwise known as the Great Commission, was also discussed. Prayer for the lost souls and those on the missionary field is very essential in order to have bumper harvest. We shall be concluding the topic today as we further look into how we can be part of the Great Commission.

The Psalmist declared *“Let them shout for joy and be glad that favour my righteous cause…”* (Psalms 35:27). You can favour the righteous cause of God by not only witnessing but by also giving your money and material things. You can support evangelism with your possessions. These include food, clothes, shoes, etc. Apostle Paul said that he would rather prefer to spend and be spent for Christ (2 Cor. 5:19). *“And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent?”* (Rom. 10:14-15). The truth is that we are sent already and the word of reconciliation has been committed unto us (2 Cor. 5:19). The Bible says how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of reconciliation (Rom. 10:15). You may not have the privilege to stand on the pulpit to preach but, you have many opportunities to share the gospel. What about your family members, neighbours, friends, associates and those under your circle of influence? Everywhere you go is a potential harvest field for the Kingdom of God. There are many benefits of being a soul-winner, these include: answered prayers, joy unspeakable, radiating God’s glory, signs and wonders etc. *“And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs and wonders following”* (Mark 16:20). Beloved, while you are praying for more labourers as commanded by Jesus Christ in Luke 10:2, get up and go to the field. Partner with your resources and also get involved in witnessing to souls. *“For he that winneth a soul is wise”* (Prov. 11:30). Therefore, you belong to the group of the wise men as you win souls for Christ.

Let us turn around our schedules to interrupt sinners from going to hell. God has put so much in us so that we can effectively represent Him and witness for Him wherever we are found. God wants even the remotest villager to know Him. (Concluded). God bless you richly. *SHALOM.*
