The Tripod

Welcome to the second day and the first Sunday of the Year 2022. Glory be to our God for the grace and mercy He has bestowed upon us to crossover to another year. Beloved, I implore you to make a decision of walking with God righteously in this New Year. I pray that you will have unprecedented testimonies at the end of this year in Jesus mighty name.

A tripod is a three-legged device which provides support and stability for optical instruments, especially cameras. Every right-thinking person has expectations and pursuits for the New Year. In fact, people usually have longing for achievements and will put up strategies for actualizing such. However, Joshua revealed the tripod upon which real prosperity and good success stand. *“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”* (Joshua 1:8). The word of God provides divine instruction, correction, as well as direction in life. The first leg of the tripod is confession of the scriptures to your situation. As you journey through this year, declare the word of God to whatever you may be passing through. Remember that God created everything by His word and has exalted His word above His name. The word of God is potent, quick and powerful and never misses its target. Make scriptural declarations to confront every knotty issue of your life. The second leg of the tripod is meditation on the scriptures, this goes beyond the level of confession. Meditation is consistently and constantly reflecting upon, considering deeply, and assimilating the word of God. It means allowing the rhema of God’s word to take root in the deepest part of your spirit. When you are fortified with the word of God, you become a terror to the devil and his cohorts. The third leg of the tripod is obeying and doing the word of God in its entirety. *“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land”* (Isaiah 1:19). Your altitude in success and prosperity depends largely on your attitude to obedience to the word of God. I encourage you to trust and obey God in your walk with Him this New Year.

Friend, you need God more than ever before; develop an intimate and passionate relationship with Him. As you commit your life to God, He will take care of your concerns. I want to use this medium to wish the household of Cedar, home and abroad, a Happy New Year! SHALOM
