Season For Exploits

Glory be to our God who makes all things beautiful in its own time and season. As a ministry and church, we thank the Lord for His wondrous move and acts in our midst for the past eight years. May His awesome name be praised now and forever more. Today, in the spirit of the season, I will be sharing on the above topic which is crucial to the divine mandate of Christians.

Prior to creation of man, God had already designed His purpose for man. “Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over …” (Gen. 1:26). The original intent of God for man is to rule over all He has created, without any restriction. According to Oxford Advanced Learner’s dictionary, season means a period of the year characterized by a particular climatic feature or marked by a particular activity, event, or festivity while exploit is defined as a bold or daring feat. Naturally, there are different seasons at different times all over the globe. The temperate regions have seasons like winter, spring, autumn and summer. The tropical regions of the world like Nigeria have rainy, dry and harmattan season. Spiritually, Christians are neither limited in making exploits all year round. Believers are compared to a tree that is planted by the river who does not know any drought. “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” (Jer. 17:8). Everyone who is identified with this ministry has been called to live a fruit-bearing (exploit) life. Entering into the season for exploits begins with having the understanding that seasons were made for man not the other way round. I mean children of God are to be all time champions, breaking grounds in seemingly difficult terrains. We have to be like the children of Issachar who had understanding of the times and knew what to do (1Chro. 12:32). You must be spiritually discerning and sensitive to enter into your season for exploits. “… the eyes of your understanding being enlightened ...” (Eph. 1:18). Furthermore, it takes a man of faith and prayer to create something out of nothing. By faith, patriarchs of old like Abraham, Noah, Moses, Elijah etc. did many outstanding exploits.

Friend, you need to have a strong intimacy with Jesus Christ in order to be launched into your season for exploits (Daniel 11:32b). Happy 8th Anniversary to the household of Cedar! Shalom
